The Banglar Yuva Sathi Prakalpa (বাংলার যুব সাথী প্রকল্প) is a landmark welfare initiative launched by the Government of West Bengal, announced by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee in the 2026 state budget via Notification No. 102/YS dated 13th February 2026.
The scheme provides ₹1500 per month directly to unemployed educated youth (aged 21–40 who have passed Class 10 / Madhyamik) through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) to their Aadhaar-linked bank accounts. Support continues for up to 5 years or until the beneficiary finds employment, whichever is earlier — meaning eligible youth can receive up to ₹90,000 in total.
